Welcome
The Museum was created by Law 7018, in 26th december 1985. The Law pretend the divulgation and exibition of the patrymonial goods of the Postal Service, the trajectory of the several communications systems utilized since 1849, begining with the creation of the Postal Service General Administration in that year.
Among the activities that have the museum are: philatelic courses and to give advising to the philatelists, also the conservation and classification of the worl wide collection belongings to Correos de Costa Rica.
Guided Visits
With the guided visits the general public have the opportunity of being transported, play and learn the history of our country, to valore our present. In the Museum you can find photograps of the oldest employees of Correos and Telegrafos at the begining of the XX Century. Also there are telegraphs, telephones antiques, ilustrations of the postal process, the first stamps emitted in Costa Rica, and the collection of The SECOND CENTENARY of the Costa Rican Philately, since 1963 until today.
